Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is an estimate from North State Fence free?
Yes, As homeowners ourselves we understand that you need to shop around. We try to make this process as painless on your pocketbook by offering every estimate at no cost to you.
Q: What material is right for me?
When choosing the right material for you, ask yourself few questions will help you narrow down your options. For instance, are you looking for a material that has low to no maintenance required? In this case a material like Vinyl or Ornamental will meet those needs. These two types of material once installed require no annual upkeep unlike a wood product that requires staining and/or pressure washing to maintain the look of the product.
Another question to consider is "what look are you going for?" Many materials can add to the beauty to your property. A product like Aluminum can give your home a classic elegant feel, where as a wood fence can offer that private feel you may be looking for.
Questions we may ask you.
Q: Do you have an HOA?
Some HOA have restrictions on the type of fence you can install.
For example your HOA may have a height restriction, not allowing you to have a fence above a specific height, or even a restriction on the type of material you are allowed. Knowing these restrictions may help you narrow down your options.
Q: Do you know the layout you want?
Many property owners like to have their fence installed right on their property lines while others may be coming within their property to create a space specific to their needs.
Q: Number of gates, types, etc...
How many gates are you looking for? Are you needing one or several access points along your fence line? Size? Many homeowners often require the ability to drive a vehicle within their property contained by the fence and thus require larger gates. We can make your gate opening any size you want.
Q: What is your timeline?
