Standard 3-Rail Aluminum Fencing

99% Of the people who choose to get an aluminum fence go with one of two options. 4’ tall or 5’ tall black aluminum. North State Fence stocks both 4’ tall and 5’ tall 3-rail, black, residential grade aluminum fencing. They’re pros and cons to both heights. Most importantly a 4’ tall 3-rail fence like the two shown below on the left do NOT pass pool code, while the 5’ tall fence like the two shown on the right will. Now it is not about the height that passes pool code it is about the spacing between the rails. Spacing must not exceed 45 inches apart. That is why you can do a 4’ tall 2-rail aluminum fence and that passes pool code just fine.

North State Fence Pool Fencing Tips

When installing a fence for a pool there are a few things you need to look at to make sure your fence passes pool code. We have made a list of some of the most important things to remember.

• Minimum height of four feet.

• NO spacing between vertical pieces may exceed four inches.

• All gates must self close at 4 inches open and 90 degrees open,

• All gates must open AWAY from the pool.

We take great pride in our quality here at North State Fence. We have been at this a long time so we go above and beyond trying to satisfy every yard and any ground challenges we may face. Below are a couple of pictures of graded gates. All aluminum gates come from the factory squared and don’t allow it to be modified to meet grade challenges. North State Fence welds their gates in house to accommodate for grade changes and gets them locally powder coated to match the rest of the fence.
